Peridot
Peridot, also known as olivine, is bright lime green. Originally discovered on St John’s Island near Egypt, it was brought to Europe by the crusaders in the Middle Ages. Mysterious and ancient, peridot is sometimes found in meteorites and is the birthstone for August.
