Lightning Ridge black opal and diamond ring, in 18ct gold

A very special 2.08ct black opal from the famous Lightning Ridge opal mine, Australia. Made by Saunders & Pughe this 18ct yellow gold ring with two brilliant cut diamonds (total weight 0.20cts G/VS) set into the shoulders.

This stone is one of five black opals Saunders & Pughe carefully selected at the Tucson Gem Fair, Arizona, considered to host the largest and most comprehensive collection of gemstones anywhere in the world.

This particular ring is now sold. We have other loose black opals to view which can be set into a similar design.
