A very special 2.08ct black opal from the famous Lightning Ridge opal mine, Australia. Made by Saunders & Pughe 18ct yellow gold ring with two brilliant cut diamonds (total weight 0.20cts G colour VS clarity) set into the shoulders. This stone is one of five black opals Saunders & Pughe carefully selected from a recent trip to Tucson, Arizona. The Tucson Gem Fair is considered the largest and most comprehensive collection of gemstones anywhere in the world. This particular ring is now sold. We have other loose black opals to view which can be set into a similar design.
